Our service

Telemedicine for acute & urgent care

Secure, same- or next-day video appointments with a BC-licensed doctor for the everyday things that shouldn't require a long drive—covered by MSP, with the same doctor each visit.

A real doctor's appointment, by video

Telemedicine is a private video visit with a BC-licensed doctor. You explain what's going on, the doctor assesses you, and—when it's appropriate—prescribes, orders tests, or refers you onward. At BridgeCare you see the same doctor each visit, often the same or next day—the standard of care you'd expect in a clinic, for the many concerns that don't need a physical exam.

BridgeCare provides prompt, episodic care. It complements your family doctor rather than replacing one—and it's there when you need to be seen quickly.

  • The same doctor each visit—Dr. Babak Ghavami, licensed in BC
  • Often same- or next-day appointments
  • Private, secure video on a privacy-compliant EMR
  • From any phone, tablet, or computer—no app to install

When to use telemedicine—and when to go to the ER

Telemedicine is for non-emergencies. Knowing the difference keeps you safe.

Good for a video visit

  • Your concern doesn't need a hands-on physical exam
  • You need a prescription, refill, or requisition
  • You want advice, a sick note, or a follow-up
  • You live far from a clinic or can't easily travel

Call 911 or go to the ER

  • Chest pain or pressure, or trouble breathing
  • Signs of a stroke—face drooping, arm weakness, slurred speech
  • Severe bleeding, burns, or a serious injury
  • Sudden severe pain, fainting, or a medical emergency

In a medical emergency, call 911. Telemedicine is not for emergencies or life-threatening symptoms such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, or stroke signs. Go to your nearest emergency department or call 911.
